Digital transformation is a systematic process that seeks to improve the productivity and competitiveness of an organization from a strategic perspective, taking advantage of the potential of digital technologies and incorporating customer-centric innovation. The business strategy is the basis of this process and it defines the objectives, scopes and actions to achieve organizational change.
At CINTEL we accompany the digital transformation processes of organizations with a strategic approach that allows them to integrate their initiatives and projects from different areas, developing them with an integral vision, in structured roadmaps and promoting systematic innovation within these organizations.
Why are we at CINTEL a reference in Digital Transformation?
At CINTEL we have more than 30 years of experience accompanying organizations in transformation processes, from the perspectives of strategy, innovation, ICT implementation, appropriation, culture development and human talent, among other complementary aspects.
At the Center we approach transformation in a methodological way, meeting the needs of companies from a holistic view of the process, or meeting requirements in specific aspects that generate progress in such transformation.
A well-conducted digital transformation requires a prospective vision of customers, work teams, product or service innovation, among other elements of the production chain.
This is how we develope our methodology
The digital transformation is approached through some steps that allow to directly connect the strategy with the deployment of projects in the organization, generating value and aligning this process with the business.
Among the steps to follow are:
Identification of the digital ecosystem – This step describes the interrelationships between different business components and digital technologies within a specific value chain.
Assessment of the digital maturity level – This corresponds to applying a model to establish a baseline of progress that allows comparing the current state of the company with future data and measuring the evolution along the way. This is a powerful tool for the definition of the transformation roadmap. CINTEL has developed a methodology to determine the Global Digital Transformation Maturity Index of companies in Colombia that is applied for this purpose.
Definition of a roadmap – once the gaps are identified in relation to the different aspects of the business, the opportunities for technological incorporation are detected to close the gaps aligned with the organizational strategy. These opportunities are prioritized and recorded in a roadmap, in the form of projects – digital application cases – to make the transformation possible.
Implementation of application cases -This step begins with the planning of the technologies that will efficiently transform the prioritized process, product, service or business model. Once this step is completed, proofs of concept of the design are executed to verify its effectiveness.
Appropriation and management of an effective change – A fundamental component of the digital transformation process has to do with technological appropriation and change management among the stakeholders that will be impacted by this process, so a program must be established for them to take advantage of the added potentialities.
Innovation process management – The business transformation cycle closes with an adequate innovation management to focus the organizational capacity to build knowledge and generate ideas that systematically add value to the business.
In conclusion, digital transformation is a systematic process of constant change, which is developed in order to find the perfect balance between strategy, innovation and technological solutions.
